Neighbourhood Festival Sites
Across the city look out for our seven Neighbourhood Festival Sites, which are being produced by and for local residents. These sites are bringing the Games experience right to the doorsteps of Birmingham residents.
The neighbourhood sites even include the first ever Relaxed Festival Site at a Commonwealth Games. This will be located in Touchbase Pears in Selly Oak and will provide support to people with complex disabilities.

The Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, which will be held from 28 July until 8 August 2022, will be a once in a lifetime opportunity to put the city, the region, and its people on the global stage. The Games will host 19 sports and 9 para sports, across 72 nations and territories.
HMT Empire Windrush is best remembered today for bringing one of the first large groups of post-war West Indian immigrants to the United Kingdom. The ship carried 1027 passengers and two stowaways on a voyage from Jamaica to London in 1948.
